Disad Drill--7/28 (Baxter)

really good overall presence, for the dsiad drill especially--consider carefully why you are going bottom up, it can be useful, but unless there is a strong reason don't do so--you slow down a fair amount when you are reading evidence, make sure that you keep whatever adreline and attitude up while you are doing that part as well--

Practice Debate 2--7/28 (Baxter)

bring your computer up while you are talking, you want it close to your face for delivering the 1AC—1a should be too busy during the cx of the 2nc to ask questions, you need to be prepping to give the 1ar, there was a lot of new stuff in here—suggestion, apologize about the miscommunication, then explain your actual argument—don’t be repetitive in the 1ar, you need to go claim warrant claim warrant, repeatedly, you should be practicing for the debates when you are really time pressed--

Parli Practice--8/2

Arun—good level of detail, watch out for phrases like “what this does”—make sure you have this same level of confidence in your policy debates—do you need terminal impacts—what does timeframe mean on a cp? Im not sure why them saying same as you doesn’t work?

Practice Debate Wednesday 8/5—Baxter

Arun—sounds very good at the beginning of the 1ac, need to have more endurance—let karthik answer the 2ac questions—not they don’t tell you, they hvent—extend the 2nc XXXXXXXXXX, focus on warrants—way more time on terror, what aergs r u gong for, don’t just list authors--

Practice Debate—Thursday 8/6—Baxter

Arun—maybe the case comes after the kritik—start the speech just by seeing if everyone is ready, then starting—also push yourself like karthik needs to—use your confidence in the speech, its so much more pronounced when ur just walking around--
